Prachi Mehta founded TAG to realise her passion for Alternate Dispute Resolution and to provide clients with a simpler route to justice. She has successfully mediated several matters in India and United States. She is also proud to be associated with Art of Living for providing community services through mediation and helping at the grassroots level by training mediators and establishing mediation centres pan-India.
She started her career 18 years ago in New York as a lawyer and quickly evolved to becoming a dispute settlements specialist with her first shadow mediation at JAMS (Judicial Arbitration and Mediation Services), San Francisco. She also completed an advanced course in mediation from the Harvard Law School and worked as a Visiting Researcher at the Gould Centre for Conflict Resolution, Stanford Law School to research and develop mechanisms for Indian industries and companies to effectively use mediation for resolution of their disputes.
With the creation of TAG she has brought together some of the finest ADR minds in India and hopes that anyone who has a dispute will think of finding a solution before putting on the gloves to fight!
Prachi has been awarded the prestigious title of “Weinstein JAMS Fellow”, in recognition of her commitment to Alternative Dispute Resolution and to the constructive resolution of conflict internationally. She is a resource person for the Delhi Dispute Resolution Society, Ministry of Law and Justice, Government of NCT, India and regularly helps conduct training sessions for their mediator trainees. She is actively involved in giving her suggestions and comments on the Mediation Bill for India. She is also leading the way for the government to implement the Peer Mediation systems in the Indian Education diaspora.
